- Get boxes ahead of time. Don’t wait until the day, or even week, before you’re scheduled to move to get boxes. Try to start gathering up boxes and newspapers well in advance (we’re talking several weeks!), and then slowly start packing away things you don’t use. (Um, or get rid of those things.) The point is to start the process in advance, so that you don’t stress yourself out even more.
- One word: LABEL. It may be tempting to throw everything into boxes and call it a day. But, if you don’t take the time to label your boxes, you’ll just be adding to your stress later on. Take the time to organize your possessions and label your boxes clearly. Your future self will thank you!
